Our home daycare has been open since 2007 and continues to grow through 2011-2012 calendar year. It is open year round. We are a small home daycare and I can accept up to 5 children ages infants through 5 years old. We are not licensed at this time because we have only a small number of children. The state of Virginia does not require us to be licensed if we have 5 children or less. The maximum number of children we will allow is 5 children per day. We keep our home daycare clean and childproof. Our preschool program is based on weekly themes and the owner, Marie Mason has designed the curriculum herself. Marie has been teaching for over 20 years and has a child of her own . Her educational background includes an associates in Early Childhood Education and a bachelors in Human Development.­ She is CPR Certified and First Aid Certified.

At our home daycare, we introduce art to infants starting at 6 months, and that is mostly finger paint at first. We do some worksheets and some craft like art depending on the age of your child. We have weekly themes in art and music. Infants also have tummy time. For walkers we introduce dance and basic gym and cooking as well as explore nature and the world around us. We focus on developing language skills and social skills in a mixed age group setting. Our program has a flexible nap time and feeding time schedule to meet the needs of your children. We have a successful program for developing children's basic language skills and social skills the last 4 years. We use both the spoken English language and basic sign language. We are open Monday through Friday with set hours from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. and are seeking full-time students at this time. These are the earliest and latest hours we can accommodate.­ However if you need to drop off at 8 AM and pick up by 4 PM we can accommodate that schedule as well.
