Snowlion Alaskan Malamutes are carefully bred for soundness and temperament.­ Pups are vet checked with health guaranteed. We breed classic, traditional Alaskan Malamutes capable of working in harness. Our dogs are best suited for athletic, active individuals looking for family companions. We do not endorse nor do we breed the so-called "giant'­ alaskan malamute. Although our dogs are primarily of M'loot lines, they like the early M'loot foundation dogs are within the standard range for the AKC purebred Alaskan Malamute. Oversized dogs often come with oversized problems and are not suitable or endowed with the endurance required for sledding and hiking all day. Snowlion Alaskan Malamutes have worked as sled dogs, therapy and service dogs, search and rescue dogs, and most of all have been loved as family companions. Although we are primarily a sledding kennel, our AKC alaskan Malamutes have won numerous honors throughout the world including over thirty champions, fifty working-titled­ dogs, Best of Breed at Westminister,­ over a dozen Best in Specialty winners and five Best in Show Alaskan Malamutes. We are dedicated to preserving the classic heritage of the native Alaskan Malamute as a working and family companion bred to the AKC standard which means within the normal size and weight range for this breed, with proper coats for an arctic sled dog (not long or wooly).
