KLC Couture Career Development Center, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.­

The Center is a private educational service provider that offers child care in the form of training workshops. KLC Couture Career Development Center, Inc. provides an after school Fashion Design (School-Age)­ Youth and Mentoring Program for youth ages 9 to 15 years old in the Metropolitan­ Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia areas.

The Center provides workshops for charitable purposes so the students may gain personal enrichment opportunities,­ present artwork in the forms of exhibitions or shows, obtain quality educational learning experiences,­ integrate coursework and curricula materials into real life situations within a nondiscriminator­y, equal opportunity safe environment developed for the students to meet training goals.

The Center offers personal skills training in the areas of Sewing/Couture­ Fashion Design, incorporating­ some history, technology, math, science, garment manufacturing,­ product development,­ fine arts, exhibitions,­ shows, marketing, hat making, jewelry making, illustration,­ embroidery, heat press vinyl design or application,­ rhinestone design or application,­ website design and more in the form of workshops offered to students who are ages 16 years old to adults and youth ages 9 to 15 years old.

The program is offered every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 5:30 P.M.-8:30 P.M. The tuition cost includes all materials and meals for the youth. Each workshop is a maximum of four weeks.
