QUALIFICATIONS:­
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise level development experience
• 10+ years of senior level application development experience
• 2+ years leading teams of application developers
• Experience in full life cycle solution implementation­ from conceptualizatio­n to deployment and follow-up support
• Must have the ability to work in a fast pace environment and react to situations as they arise in the appropriate manner.
• Ability to work independently­ or in a team environment and effectively meet project deliverables­ on time.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and reliable.
• Must have demonstrated­ effective teamwork skills, following procedures, and functioning well under pressure
• Ability to manage and mentor other technical staff is critical

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Lead Developer, Applications­ provides leadership and direction on applications­ architecture­ teams to develop and deliver applications­ and application enhancements­ and data conversions in eCommerce and/or SAP environments­ in support of business challenges and needs. Incumbent is expected to participate in a wide array of both short-term and long-term initiatives.­ Incumbent is responsible for helping in all aspects of the systems development life cycle process up to and including leading certain areas of post-implementat­ion support.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES­:
• Provide technical direction and guidance to less senior members of the team.
• Assist in project management and lead small teams of developers to develop and deliver required application functionality.­
• Although a team leader, it is expected that hands-on coding, including custom application enhancement,­ forms, interfaces and reports is a significant day to day activity.
• Manage all development efforts related to systems integration as well as new application development opportunities­
• Participate in Technology design/code reviews to ensure consistency in architecture­ and design/code practices
• Participate in certain aspects of business user consulting, system analysis and general operating system designs
• Clarifies requests for enhancements­ or systems changes with the requestor
• Demonstrate detailed knowledge in functional area concepts and system solutions
• Maintain templates and requirements­ for all technical documents for functional area as they relate to the SDLC including; modification­ specifications,­ release notes, etc.
• Write and maintain documents to describe application development,­ logic, coding, testing, changes and corrections
• Keep abreast of latest application development strategies, trends and technologies­ as applicable to Client's architecture­
