The Shining Stars Creative Childcare and Learning Center is a wonderful child care center located in the Pittsburgh borough of Wilkinsburg,­ Pennsylvania.­ The center is a spacious 2700 square foot facility, with 4 huge rooms, as well as a safe location, as the center is located right across the street from the Wilkinsburg Police Department, and right around the corner from the Wilkinsburg Fire Department.

The center is run by site Director Leslie Parr, who has years of experience in child care and running child care centers. The staff is educated, well trained, and works extremely well with the kids.

As far as accessibility,­ the center is located at 904 Wood Street, which is right at the corner of Wood and Penn where the city bus stops. The center is only 2 block from the Busway.

While the center accepts paying parents, we also accept families who use CCIS to help with their child care payments.

The kids are given breakfast, lunch, and snacks EVERYDAY. During the summer, we take our kids on WEEKLY field trips to such fun places as My Little Outback, Chuck E Cheese, the Pittsburgh Zoo, and the Highland Park Swimming Pool.

Shining Stars accepts children up to age 10, including newborns, infants, young and older toddlers, preschoolers­ and after school kids.

The center is open Monday thru Friday, from 6am to 6:30pm.
