SAP BW Senior Architect - (BI 7.0, BW background, SAP BOBJ, Business Objects and/or SAP HANA - Full Time Direct Hire opportunity with a major global company with HQ in Chicago, IL.

Position Summary:

Our client is a global SAP establishment­ and this opportunity will offer you an Excellent opportunity to be a part of our EDW redesign.
The SAP BI (BW) Senior Architect is responsible for providing solution architect services for the BI team and help to make BI related design decisions.
He/she will also act as the SAP BI subject matter expert and will be one of the escalation points for issue resolution.
Must be competent in all BW tools.
BPS/IP and ABAP skills are required.

Qualifications:­

Ideal candidates will have minimum 8 years working in SAP BW (Netweaver 2004s/BI 7.0) and ABAP development,­ minimum 10 years related industry experience
Strong experience as primary functional leader and solution architect on successful large SAP projects with the ability to manage resources and multiple projects simultaneously­ with multiple complete life cycle implementation­ of SAP
Excellent experience with BI 7.0 and InfoProvider­ design skills, in order to provide most efficient infrastructure­ for Query building.
Experience across extraction from multiple sources, transformation,­ loading, data life cycle management, reporting, advanced analytics, dashboarding­ and planning.
Strong data modeling skills.
Strong functional knowledge in Financial reporting(Manage­ment and Statutory), Logistics, and Production processes
Proven track record in designing and delivering complex SAP BW/BI enterprise solutions for global organizations­
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Ability to work independently/mi­nimal supervision
Ability to work in a team environment.­
Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive the issues to completion and deliver against milestones
Strong communications­ skills with the ability to interact with various levels in a global organization­
Experience with SAP Business Objects a strong plus
Experience with BPC a plus
Project Management experience a plus

Responsibilities­:

Develop and maintain the overall BI architecture­ on a global scale, ensuring that the architecture­ is appropriate across the domains, evolves to meet changing business and technology environments,­ and adheres to the enterprise architecture.­
Works across business IT and technical teams to ensure compliance of proposed business solution and solution / data architecture.­
Review and approve the design of BI application,­ component, data, and interface architecture­ for applications­ and projects within the domain(s)
Drive the overall BW solution strategy and roadmap, overall BW architecture­ and design across various functional areas including FICO, SD, CRM and HCM (and others)
Identify and resolve integration issues and manage inter-dependenci­es across technical architecture­ domains (application,­ integration,­ portal, etc).
Help ensure that a robust solution and roadmap is achieved for the SAP BW, Business Objects and Strategy and planning components such as BW-BPS footprint in the organization.­
Responsible for outlining the methods and processes used to translate reporting requirements­ into a solution and relevant data flow architecture.­ Focused on a design global solution that provides global standardization­ of KPIs and measures while providing local country flexibility.­
Understand process/requirem­ents integration with core R/3 and complex reporting / portal architecture.­
Provide technical and business project leadership for the full development life cycle on business intelligence­ initiatives.­
Support and maintain existing business intelligence­ systems.
Performance tuning of BW environment.­
Document procedures, such as programs and system flow. Contribute in defining and creating standards for the development process.
